"An enemy kingdom. A powerful prince. And an Academy for mages. To stay alive, Verene will have to uncover her hidden power.ā Melanie Cellier,Crown of Secrets
šBlurb: Verene is a disappointment to her entire kingdom--the first royal ever born without power, despite her mother being the most powerful mage in history. So when she's sent to the Academy in neighboring Kallorway to forge ties with her people's traditional enemies, she's determined to succeed and prove she can still be of value to her kingdom.
š§If youāre looking for a book filled with court intrigue, politics, royalty, and magic please check out this series. Iām already on book 4 and Iām in love with the characters, story, and setting. Our main character Verene is a brave and determined princess searching for purpose in a family where she is the only one without magic. Her counterpart is a calculated and powerful Prince from the opposing kingdom. Vereneās best friend Bri is spunky and fierce.
šThe story follows the entire class of first year mages, and Verene the observer, as they learn in an isolated academy. All this amongst feuding royals, rebels, and secrets makes for a compelling story. Also it is CLEAN and the narration is EXCELLENT! Did I mention I love these books?!
